Inspection & Maintenance Station (IMS)

The Inspection & Maintenance Station under NIAIMT is one of the first facility of this kind in Assam and North Eastern region of country. The station  is  equipped with  four inspection lanes fixed and mobile. Having following features:

• IMS at NIAIMT is a Govt. authorized vehicle fitness testing and certifying center (as per Rule62, CMVR 1989).
  
• It has automated inspection lanes for testing vehicle fitness for road worthiness and equipped with latest  technologies which use less human intervention and make the test more authentic.
  
• The IMS is capable of testing wide range of vehicles from two wheelers, three wheelers, LMV, MMV, Buses, trucks, to multi axel vehicles.
  
• On completion of all tests a computer generated test report cum fitness certificate is issued as per Form-38 of Motor Vehicle Act 1988.
